“It’s a Wonderful Life in Angels Camp”
ACBA Christmas Gala Dec. 5
Angels Camp – Nov. 30, 2016 –The Angels Camp Business Association will hold its annual Christmas Gala, themed “It’s a Wonderful Life in Angels Camp” at Camps Restaurant in Greenhorn Creek, Angels Camp, from 6 to 9 p.m. this Monday, Dec. 5. Silver bells will grace the hall, as “every time a bell rings, an angel gets their wings.”
The festive event features a holiday buffet dinner, music, door prizes, dancing and silent and live auctions. Proceeds benefit the many programs offered to the community by Angels Camp Business Association and tickets are $50 per person.
“Every year we have a surprise that delights our guests,” said Candy Myers, ACBA president. “These have included Sherri Smith riding her horse across the dance floor, a full-sized steer running through the restaurant, and last year Paul Coca and family rode their motorcycles covered in Christmas lights through the back patio doors, stopping in the middle of the dance floor to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and revving up their engines to speed out of the front doors. This year we have another spectacular surprise to top last year’s. But you’ll have to be there to see what it is!”
The expansive buffet features many traditional holiday flavors followed by a special dessert. Mark Fisher will be the live auctioneer offering a stay at Cooper House Bed and Breakfast Inn along with a wine and food-pairing dinner, a Barry Kieselstein-Cord frog necklace donated by Firefall Jewelers, a vacation home in Idaho, fine art, limousine package and many more unique treasures.
The dinner is a highly revered tradition for ACBA and the community. Tickets are available at angelcampbusiness.com, in Angels Camp at CAMPS Restaurant, Century-21 Sierra Properties, Middleton’s and Turner’s Wild West or by calling 736-1333. “We hope everyone will come and help us celebrate why it’s a wonderful life in Angels Camp,” expressed Myers.
