Management
The Angels Camp Farmers Market is managed, operated, and controlled by the Angels Camp Business Association. The Market Manager is in charge of all Market operations including the following: Check in vendors, collect fees, offer assistance, coordinate the activities for the Market and oversee the Market. The Market Manager shall implement and enforce all the Rules and Regulations pertaining to the operation of the Market in a fair and equitable manner.

Certified Farmers Market
The Angels Camp Farmers Market is a Certified Farmers Market and is operated in accordance with regulations established in the California Code of Regulations, Title 3.The Market has been certified by the Calaveras County Department of Agriculture as a direct marketing outlet for producers of certified and non-certified agricultural products. These producers may sell their agricultural products directly to the consumer. Producers must comply with all applicable Federal and State Laws regarding packaging requirements and reusing fruit and vegetable containers.

All produce must meet minimum quality standards, as specified by Federal and State regulations. The Market Manager has the authority to ask that produce not meeting minimum quality standards be removed on any given Market Day. Producers whose products do not meet minimum quality standards are subject to Market suspension upon reoccurrence.

No selling of alcohol or alcoholic products will be allowed at the Market with the exception of the beer and wine booth sponsored by the Angels Camp Business Association. The purpose of the beer and wine booth is to promote and support local wineries and to help Angels Camp Business Association promote the Market.

No selling of pharmaceutical products will be allowed in the Market.

Hours of Operation
The Farmers Market will open to customers at 5:00 pm and close at dusk, on Friday evenings starting June 3rd 2011 and continuing through September 16th 2011. Vendors are required to be checked in and set up no later than 4:30 pm, as many Customers arrive early. We will not allow Vendors to set up after 5:00 pm.

Certified & Non-Certified Agricultural Products
Certified agricultural products are products certified under the jurisdiction of the Calaveras County Agricultural Commissioner. Such products include: fresh fruits, nuts, vegetables, eggs, honey, flowers, and nursery stock.

Second Certified Seller
A Certified Producer may sell for one Second Certified Producer. A second certified seller is defined as an approved Certified Agricultural Producer who sells his/her product at the market at a primary certified seller’s booth at the Market.

Non-certifiable Agricultural Products
Any Seller selling products that are not Non-certifiable must comply with County Health Department regulations.

Certified Producers
All participants must be certified by the County Agricultural Commissioner as a Certified Producer. A Certified Producer is a producer authorized by the County Agricultural Commissioner to sell Certified Agricultural Products, produced by practice of the agricultural arts upon land which the Certified Producer controls, directly to consumers at a Certified Farmers Market. There is currently no fee to become a Certified Producer.

Non-Agricultural Sellers
Adjacent to the Certified Farmers Market will be a location designated for non-agricultural sellers, specifically Food Purveyors and Merchants. Merchants must have their products approved by the Market Manager. Only products approved by the Market Manager will be allowed in to the market. Service businesses will not be allowed to sell, solicit or promote their services at the Market.

Booth Fees
The booth fees are $15 for each 10×10 booth space or fraction thereof, for each Market day. If a vendor requests a larger space or more than one 10×10 space, they will be charged for each 10×10 space taken at $15 each. There is a reduced pre-paid rate of $10 per week, at a total of $160 for the 2011 season to be pre-paid by June 3rd 2011 to the Market Manager or mailed ahead to the address above ($80 savings). Vendors that are not pre-paid are required to bring their booth fee with them to the market as they are collected prior to 5:00 pm.

Booth Assignments
The Market Manager will assign all approved sellers admitted into the Market a 10×10 area. Pre-assigned spaces will be given to Food Vendors and Prepaid Vendors. Ag Vendors will be assigned a space in the Certified Market area. However, non-prepaid Ag Vendors that do not regularly attend, will not be assigned a permanent booth and will be on a first come basis.

All non-prepaid artisans, will be on a first come basis.

Because we are an open marketplace, no guarantee will be made of exclusive selling rights on any products.

Booth Setup and Conditions
Each seller must have his/her booth set up and be ready to sell before 5:00 pm. Those sellers who are not in their booths by 5:00 pm will not be allowed in the Market that day. Sellers must provide their own booth tables and canopies. Canopies are highly recommended as the Market Manager can not guarantee a shaded booth space. All food sellers must have a covered booth and covered food. Sellers must remain in their booths until dusk when the market ends, and they must keep their booth spaces in a clean and sanitary condition. All produce and products sold must be displayed in an attractive manner. Each seller shall be responsible to remove containers, waste and trimmings form their booth areas before leaving the Market. Certified Producers, Second Certified Producers and Food Purveyors must display their license in a conspicuous place and prices must be clearly posted.

Standards of Conduct
Sellers must conduct themselves in a courteous and business-like manner. No smoking is allowed in the booths. Sellers must practice good grooming in order to maintain an acceptable appearance. No booths may be set up or products sold in the parking lot or outside market area. No bicycles or skateboards are allowed in the market area and pets are required to be on a leash at all times.
